What you'll learn

Course covers confined space legislation, atmospheric hazards, ventilation, air monitoring and permit systems.

Training designed to ensure students can safely enter, attend, issue permits for and perform non-entry rescue from a confined space.

Description

This course covers every aspect required to conduct safe confined space entries in accordance with confined space legislative requirements. It is built for all four roles on an entry team — Permit Issuers, Attendants, Entrants and Rescuers — since every worker involved in an entry must be trained.

Practical non-entry rescue techniques are incorporated into the day, so students leave having physically performed a retrieval rather than only reading about one. Where a site is available, students conduct vertical and/or horizontal entries appropriate to their workplace.

All training is delivered by TEAM-1 Academy instructors who work in emergency response on an ongoing basis. Courses are tailored to your site, so content reflects your equipment, your permits and your local regulations. Where you make them available, we will review your own equipment, policies, procedures and permit forms as part of the class.
