Rough Terrain Forklift (Russian)
Rough terrain forklifts aren’t your average warehouse lifts—they are high-powered machines designed for the most unpredictable environments. This course prepares you to handle the mud, slopes, and shifting ground of outdoor jobsites with precision. You’ll move beyond basic driving to master the physics of stability and the art of load management in the wild.
By: Safety LMS | Format: Online | Duration: 45 minutes | Certification: 24 Months | Language: EnglishWhat you'll learn
- Machine Anatomy & Controls: Master the specific functions of vertical mast and telescopic reach rough terrain forklifts.
- The Science of Stability: Understand the "Stability Triangle" and how dynamic forces like speed and slope affect your truck.
- Pre-Use Rigor: How to conduct a high-stakes inspection to catch mechanical issues before they become site accidents.
- Precision Load Handling: Techniques for picking, carrying, and placing loads on unpaved surfaces and inclines.
- Hazardous Terrain Navigation: Strategies for turning, traveling, and braking safely on sand, gravel, and mud.
- Crisis Management: Critical protocols for tip-over prevention and the exact steps to take if a roll-over occurs.
Description
Operating on a flat warehouse floor is one thing; navigating a cluttered, muddy construction site with five tons of material is another. This course is designed for operators who need to thrive where the pavement ends. We bridge the gap between "knowing how to drive" and "knowing how to survive" in the high-stakes world of outdoor material handling.
The heart of this training is the Physics of the Lift. You will dive deep into load capacity and stability, learning why a load that is safe on flat ground can become a tipping hazard on a $5^\circ$ slope. We cover the strict OSHA requirements and operator responsibilities that form the backbone of a professional career.
The Golden Rule: If the terrain changes, your plan must change. This course teaches you how to read the ground before you commit to the move.
Beyond the mechanics, we focus on environmental awareness—recognizing how weather, nearby workers, and shifting surfaces create a constantly evolving puzzle. By the end of this training, you will have the hazard awareness and sound decision-making skills to maintain machine stability and protect your team, regardless of what the jobsite throws at you.
